In discussions with the client it was decided that monitoring of certain items via the client DC would provide us with a capability to engage in Surveillance as and when the property ordered via the Internet was collected.
C3i Europe using technical equipment pre-installed within the ordered items engaged in the task of identifying the offender(s).
Owing to the fact that re directed parcels could be collected within a 72-hour period then extensive (on Location) surveillance was required.
Technical Surveillance Equipment deployed
• 3 x Covert Tracking Units installed in 3 x packages installed at Clients Distribution depot.
• Command & Control vehicle taken to area of South London having the capability to monitor movements of tracking equipment
This Command and Control capability and asset allowed C3i to deploy a fully operational surveillance team to remain within the targeted area and monitor the packages around the clock. The use of onboard Wi Fi and TV monitor facilities gave a complete overview of the operation as it continued.
One of the packages had previously been collected and was taken to an address in the Croydon area. Intelligence suggested that the majority of the items subject of fraud were being taken out of The UK via a Port in Essex. From a Command & Control perspective we could both monitor and travel simultaneously to any area when the packages moved, and this gave us excellent Covert ability to enter any busy port area’s without attracting attention.
Owing to the fluid ability of using the Command & Control asset C3i were able to work in shift patterns whilst moving as and when the packages were being transported and still remaining in full control of items.
